High-Voltage Substation Design and Construction Specialist

Responsibilities Civil Design and Engineering : perform and / or review basic and detailed engineering designs, including the following areas :

Earthworks, grading, platforms, and slopes

Surface and underground drainage systems

Foundations for high-voltage equipment

Control buildings, relay rooms, warehouses, and other auxiliary buildings

Conduits for power and control cables

Internal and perimeter access roads, and pavements

Retaining walls, perimeter fencing, and physical security systems

Oil containment systems for transformers

Review structural and geotechnical calculations necessary for the design of foundations and structures

Preparing detailed technical specifications for materials, equipment, subcontractor selection, and execution of civil works

Preparing and reviewing construction drawings, calculation reports, measurements, and budgets

Ensuring the correct integration of civil designs with the requirements of electrical equipment and electromechanical layouts

Participating in the technical evaluation of bids from civil works contractors

Supervising the on-site execution of civil works, ensuring compliance with designs, technical specifications, deadlines, and quality and safety standards

Managing the technical interface with civil contractors, quality control laboratories, and other stakeholders

Resolving technical problems and non-conformities that arise during the construction phase

Reviewing and approving material testing and quality control protocols (concrete, steel, soil compaction, etc.)

Collaborating in carrying out feasibility studies, geotechnical, topographical, and hydrological studies

Participating in the preparation of technical documentation necessary for obtaining construction licenses and permits

Requirements Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field

Minimum 5 years of experience in civil design and construction

Excellent communication and project management skills
