Overview
Sales Operations Lead - B2B Operations, based in Madrid, Spain. Lead the development and sales operations infrastructure from the ground up, building scalable processes and data-driven frameworks to support the sales team and drive sustainable revenue growth. Serve as a bridge between sales, marketing, finance, customer success, and operations to ensure alignment and operational efficiency across all revenue-generating activities.
Responsibilities
Strategic Operations Development
Design and implement comprehensive sales processes, workflows, and procedures from the ground up to support business growth and scalability.
Develop and maintain sales operations infrastructure including lead management, pipeline optimization, revenue tracking systems, and related processes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to capture business requirements and implement new sales and customer-related processes.
Establish sales forecasting methodologies and performance measurement frameworks to drive data-informed decision making.
Participate in the development of the motivation system.
Technology and Systems Management
Own the selection, implementation, and management of the sales technology stack, including CRM systems (Salesforce and others), sales automation tools, and analytics platforms.
Ensure high levels of data quality and process consistency across all sales and marketing systems.
Build and maintain dashboards and reporting systems to track sales performance, pipeline health, and operational metrics.
Research and implement new technologies and tools to enhance sales team productivity and effectiveness.
Performance Analytics and Reporting
Analyze sales data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for process optimization and revenue growth, providing actionable recommendations.
Develop and maintain KPIs and sales metrics to measure team effectiveness and business impact.
Prepare executive-level reports and presentations on sales operations performance, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
Conduct regular pipeline reviews and provide insights to support sales leadership decision-making.
Team Leadership and Development
Build and lead a high-performing sales operations team, including analysts and specialists.
Develop training programs and onboarding processes for sales team members on systems, processes, and best practices.
Foster a culture of collaboration between sales operations, sales enablement, and revenue teams.
Provide coaching and mentorship to junior sales operations professionals to drive career growth and operational excellence.
Required Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Economics, or related field
5+ years of proven experience in sales operations, business analysis, or sales support management in a B2B environment
Demonstrated track record of building and scaling sales operations from early-stage to growth-stage companies
Previous experience managing sales operations teams and cross-functional projects
Technical Skills
Expert-level proficiency with CRM systems, particularly Salesforce, with certification preferred
Advanced skills in data analysis, Excel, SQL, and business intelligence tools
Experience with sales automation platforms, marketing databases, and revenue operations technology
Strong understanding of B2B sales methodologies (MEDDPICC, SPIN, Challenger, MH) and sales process optimization
