The CoE Logistics Lead is responsible for building the excellence capabilities required in the Logistics department, providing vision, guidance and drive in transforming the different functions within Logistics to strive for excellence, working collaboratively across the organisation. She / He will collaborate in the definition and deployment of processes and projects for Global Logistics Department. She / He will drive optimization and automation of logistics processes based on performance measures, benchmarking, customer or internal feedback, lessons learned and audits performed. He / She will collaborate with local / functional / regional team members in a matrix to turn strategies into measurable, valuable outputs in all production & quality-oriented processes. This role is responsible for training and coaching the different key roles within Logistics team.
Key Accountabilities
Establish and maintain standardised logistics processes across the organisation, ensuring adherence to global standards, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements
TMS / WMS and logistics digitalizations management, involved on new ERP and digital logistics tools implementations
Direct follow-up to WERFEN affiliates in logistics projects, processes implementations and operational support
Continuously review and improve logistics processes to drive operational efficiency, accuracy and customer satisfaction
Establish forums, workshops and communication channels to disseminate successful practices, lessons learned and innovative approaches
Drive change management activities related to logistic processes, ensuring effective communication, training and adoption of process changes
Track with Regional and Local Directors of Supply Chain local logistics projects and support them in logistics processes implementations
Use key performance indicators that help to measure the effectiveness of the new processes and project as it evolves.
Collect and analyse data from different systems, procedural activities and information flows in order to assess the efficiency and costs of logistics processes
Research industry benchmark and regulatory issues to draw for solutions development
Support Global Logistics Director in Logistics Projects and Logistics Processes implementations
Networking / Key relationships
This role requires frequent interaction with the members of the Logistics team, including directors, managers, team leaders and individual contributors. Additionally, this role communicates regularly with WERFEN affiliates and corporate departments; mainly PMO, customer service, planning, IT, finance and technical service to resolve doubts and issues, and ensure that logistics expectations are met.
Minimum Knowledge & Experience required for the position :
Education : Economics, Business Administration or Engineering degree.
Experience : Minimum of 5 years in Logistics or Supply Chain departments in Healthcare, Chemical or Distribution industries.
Additional Skills / Knowledge :
Proficient computer skills including Office packet, especially Excel and Power Point
A working knowledge of SAP would be preferred
Language : Spanish and English. A third language highly recommended
