The role, with an important Fintech component, forms a key part of the Legal team in managing and advising on risk and legal liability for the group, as a Travel Tech Company, to ensure we achieve the strong growth plans of the group. To assist Fintech / Insurtech Team with the set‑up and implementation of Fintech / Insurtech initiatives according to the roadmap, ensuring effective development of strategic projects.
To advise Fintech / Insurtech Team on their day-to-day business decisions, reviewing contracts from a commercial perspective as well as considering the regulatory framework worldwide, providing preventive counselling on the legal requirements, identifying, monitoring and advising upon legal risks within the area.
Legal assistance to the Fintech / Insurtech Team on the risks of new initiatives from a commercial and regulatory perspective. Monitoring of new regulations and impact on HBX activities.
Accountability 2 :
Advise Fintech / Insurtech Team on day-to-day business decisions, providing preventive counselling and reviewing contracts, especially focusing on regulatory requirements.
Tax, Compliance, HR, IT Security…) to give aligned and complete advice to Fintech / Insurtech Group.
Strong interpersonal skills with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and desirable also Spanish.
Strong organizational and analytical skills, with ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadline pressures.
Previous experience working as an in‑house counsel in a multinational company and dealing with Fintech matters. Previous experience in Fintech Dept of a law firm will be valued.
A law degree from a reputable institution, required.
Master / specialization in Fintech Law, desirable.
Experience in Legal Fintech, required.
Experience in Data Protection, desirable.
Business level of proficiency in English, required.
