Reporting to Renewable Energy Development Manager IBERIA, the Renewable Energy Developer manages the origination and development of renewable energy projects (onshore & offshore wind, solar PV, BESS) in alignment with the business targets.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Identify optimal locations where to develop and build renewable energy projects.
• Negotiate and secure land rights, keeping good relationships with landowners.
• Lead the permitting process, ensuring all the project permits, licenses, and authorizations are obtained in time and within budget.
• Obtain grid access and interconnection rights to the electrical grid, taking into consideration designs that reduce environmental & social impact, completion schedules, and costs whilst maintaining technical requirements.
• Find and implement solutions to ensure the feasibility of projects from the point of view of investment and financing, including the definition of the energy sales model or other attributes.
• Establish commercial and / or strategic relationships with potential clients, partners, or collaborators in each market.
• Contract and manage development services providers, technical advisors, and consultants to support development activities.
• Maintain relationships with local, regional, and national administrations (public and private), DNO / TSO, and other entities / agencies for the expedited processing of permits, licenses, and authorizations.
• Interact and support construction and business areas, being the main point of competence for its area of knowledge.
