FP&A Controller

At Kantox, we are looking for an FP&A Controller to join our Finance team and contribute to the development of our financial planning and analysis function.

We’re looking for an analytical and detail-oriented finance professional who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role focused on accurate reporting, analysing data in depth, and providing financial insights to support business planning and decision-making.

You’ll work closely with financial data, gain exposure to senior leadership, and support process improvements across our finance systems.

About the team

You’ll be part of a small but high-impact Finance team based in Barcelona, reporting to our Senior Controlling Manager. Our mission is to ensure financial performance is accurately planned, tracked, analysed, and reported to the business and the Group.

We are detail-oriented, collaborative, and committed to continuous improvement. This is a hands-on role with a strong focus on data accuracy, reporting, and insight generation to support the wider business with reliable financial information. You will play a key part in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, challenging assumptions, identifying opportunities, and contributing to projects that improve processes and help scale the finance function.

Your mission within Kantox

Reporting to the Senior Controlling Manager, you will be responsible for :

• Budgeting & Forecasting Participating in the annual budget cycle and rolling forecasts, ensuring accuracy across P&L, cash flow, and key financial KPIs. You’ll investigate and interpret results, challenge assumptions, and help prepare clear presentations for internal stakeholders and group reporting.
• Financial Performance Analysis & Reporting Reviewing monthly results and performing variance analysis against budget and prior periods. Translating findings into clear, actionable insights and preparing reporting packs for management and shareholders. Engaging with stakeholders across the business to explain performance drivers and answer questions arising from your analysis.
• Business Partnering & Financial Modeling Building financial models, preparing business cases, and performing ad-hoc analysis, from supporting strategic decisions to deep-dives into costs to identify savings and efficiency opportunities. Providing insights on risks, opportunities, and profitability drivers, working collaboratively with peers in the finance team and colleagues across departments.
• Process & Systems Improvement Contributing to projects that improve reporting automation, data quality, and financial visibility. You’ll help lay the groundwork for future finance system integrations and BI tools.
• 5 to 7 years of experience in FP&A, Controlling , or similar finance roles in international or fast-paced environments
• Strong understanding of P&L , cash flow forecasting , and balance sheet fundamentals
• Proven experience in budgeting , forecasting , and variance analysis
• Skilled in Excel , with the ability to do finance modeling and work with large datasets
• Hands-on and detail-oriented , with a passion for digging into numbers and uncovering insights
• Strong communicator who can translate financial data into clear, actionable narratives
• Collaborative and proactive mindset, comfortable working across teams
• Degree in Finance , Economics , Accounting , or a related field
• Experience with ERP systems ( NetSuite , SAP, etc.) is a plus

Familiarity with Power BI, cash flow forecasting, or ERP implementation projects is a nice-to-have
