The use of digitalization technologies and Artificial Intelligence in healthcare offers great opportunities to benefit and improve patient care, reduce costs, and enhance global health. While many medical areas are already benefiting from this new wave, others like hematology, infectious diseases, and neglected tropical diseases still lag behind. SpotLab is committed to bridging this gap. You can see some of our recent work applying artificial intelligence in the hematology field.
We are looking for an Innovation Manager in Hematology, available full or part-time.
Your main tasks will be :
- Understand AI's potential and leverage it to create and deploy clinical hematology solutions.
- Manage ongoing projects at the intersection of AI and hematology (currently deployed in 10 Spanish hospitals).
- Participate in meetings with clinical partners and potential customers such as hospitals, pharma companies, scientific societies, foundations, etc.
- Serve as the clinical scientific advisor to the business team, translating inquiries into technology development needs.
- Act as the point of contact for clinical AI research projects, providing medical advice on study design, objectives, and methodology.
- Contribute to defining SpotLab's products and functionalities with clinical insights.
- Write proposals for competitive research projects.
- Design and evaluate usability and performance in clinical settings.
- Conduct training activities with hospitals.
- Willingness to travel nationally.
Job requirements
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications :Medical doctors with clinical experience in Hematology, Pathology, or related specialties. Other life sciences such as Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacy, or Biotechnology will also be considered.Basic knowledge and interest in digital tools, AI, or medical devices; deep knowledge is a plus.Experience in scientific writing, articles, and proposals is advantageous.An innovative mindset with the ability to discover and test new AI-driven value propositions.A dreamer with empathy and a desire to create positive impact.Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English.Ability to establish durable relationships with hospitals, healthcare systems, regional health authorities, pharma companies, and scientific societies.Capacity to work in multidisciplinary teams and adapt to a fast-changing environment.Autonomy to explore new paths, deal with uncertainty, and take risks.Encouraged to share ideas and perspectives openly.This position can be full or part-time.
