What we are looking for
You are a highly-experienced Backend engineer building complex web services and low level problems. The language is not important, we use Python and C++ today, but we are not tied to anything
Write code for web-based services, create fast, easy-to-use, high volume production applications, and engineer prototypes quickly. Speed always wins
Contributes to engineering efforts from planning and organization, to execution and delivery to solve complex engineering problems
Loves data and SQL
You take ownership, follow through, and make progress even when things aren’t fully defined
You use AI tools (like Claude Code, Cursor, ChatGPT, or others) to go faster, stay unblocked, and write better code
You are fluent in English. If you speak Spanish, Russian, or Mandarin also, that would be amazing
You communicate well in writing. This is important for asynchronous work and writing documentation, guides, and blog posts
You are able to participate as part of the on-call team
Typical day
In this company, everyone is part of the product team. Your focus will be on Backend development, with priorities driven by product goals
Depending on the week, you could work on backend observability, new connectors, fixing problems, or adding capabilities for user-facing analytics; or work with the Fast Responders team on customer-reported issues, improving features, or addressing technical debt
We discuss the product daily and aim to balance today’s problems with tomorrow’s vision; understanding internals is valuable for long-term decisions
How we work
We’re a remote company with a remote-first culture, but for most roles expect to spend 2-3 days per week at the Madrid office
As we’re early-stage, your contributions will have a significant impact
We believe in transparency and staying in the loop about what’s happening
