Hungry, Humble, Honest, with Heart. The Opportunity Nutanix is seeking an experienced compliance leader to establish and oversee international compliance programs. This is an exciting chance to join a growing company and develop a modern compliance program that addresses future scale challenges. The role reports to the VP, Ethics & Compliance, and will be the first Ethics & Compliance attorney outside the United States.

This position is responsible for building Nutanix’s compliance framework in the EMEA and APJ regions, collaborating with regional business leaders, Finance, HR, and Legal. The role involves advising on and developing a best-in-class global compliance program, as well as leading internal investigations affecting these regions in partnership with internal teams.

Your Role

  • Lead Nutanix’s EMEA and APJ Ethics & Compliance programs.
  • Promote a culture of Ethics & Integrity.
  • Develop and improve compliance policies, procedures, controls, and monitoring to ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
  • Advise on compliance topics including code of conduct, anti-bribery, sanctions, import / export regulations, and competition laws.
  • Integrate new technologies such as AI, data analytics, and automation into compliance processes.
  • Develop and deliver compliance training.
  • Conduct internal investigations related to employee misconduct, including planning, evidence review, interviews, and reporting.
  • Engage with senior management to raise awareness and present compliance initiatives and findings.
  • Identify improvement areas and implement remedial actions to prevent violations.
  • Collaborate with Legal, HR, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders.

What You Will Bring

  • Strong ethics, integrity, and accountability, with the ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • JD or equivalent degree, with local legal licensing requirements met.
  • At least 10 years of experience in compliance or legal roles, from law firms, in-house, or government.
  • Regional experience, especially in high-risk markets.
  • Proven success in partnering with business leaders to manage compliance programs.
  • Experience conducting sensitive internal investigations involving misconduct, fraud, conflicts of interest, or corruption.
  • Experience in technology companies, especially with channel distribution models, is preferred.
  • Foreign language skills are a plus.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Leadership experience in managing teams is preferred.
  • Growth mindset, proactive problem-solving, and the ability to work independently.
  • Comfort with fast-paced environments, managing complex workloads, and influencing across organizations.
  • Ability to work across time zones and travel internationally.
