Overview
Labor & Payroll Specialist (Spain) at Metricool. Remote work possible. You will report to the People Lead and collaborate with the COO and Finance team. The role supports smooth and compliant labor operations in Spain and helps scale the international team.
Responsibilities
- Fully own Spanish payroll, ensuring accuracy and alignment with finance.
- Guarantee benefits are correctly reflected in payroll and fix discrepancies with Finance when needed.
- Keep documentation audit-ready at all times.
- Stay updated on Spanish labor regulations and implement necessary changes.
- Control and register employee changes under EOR providers, ensuring smooth processes.
- Resolve employee questions related to payroll and benefits.
- Ensure compliance with labor risk prevention obligations, including training, courses, and certifications.
- Monitor and advise on labor risks and provide solutions when issues arise.
- Partner with external legal advisors when required.
- Support Talent Acquisition during onboarding by ensuring new hires’ labor-related documentation and processes are complete.
- Maintain and update HR policies and internal documentation.
- Handle administrative tasks, such as purchases or labor-related paperwork.
- Collaborate with Finance and People teams to improve and automate payroll and HR processes.
- Identify gaps in operations and proactively implement improvements.
- Be a reference on payroll and labor topics to help the company scale smoothly.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in labor management with strong knowledge of Spanish labor regulations.2+ years of experience in payroll management, preferably with SaaS systems.Proven experience in labor risks and other areas of HR compliance.Degree in Labor Relations, HR, Law, or similar.Experience in startups or fast-growing companies.Outstanding communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).Native or fluent Spanish, and at least professional English (written & spoken).What We Offer
