About the Role

As a Senior Security Engineer in our team, you’ll safeguard application-to-application interactions at Swiss Re — assessing threats, engineering robust authentication, secret-management or authorization technologies, and guiding teams in improving the security of their services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and threat modeling for authentication and authorization in application-to-application scenarios across the organization
• Design and prototype innovative solutions to mitigate identified security risks
• Document security solutions and present them to technical teams and management
• Guide teams across the organization in adopting secure practices for application interactions

About the team

The Applications IAM team specializes in securing access and managing secrets for technical identities across Swiss Re's IT ecosystems, including public cloud environments. We are part of the Chief Security Office's (CSO) Product and Engineering Unit. The CSO organization handles cybersecurity engineering, operations, governance, risk, and compliance. You'll be working in a hybrid setup, balancing work from home and office.

Salary and Benefits

For Spain, the base salary range is between EUR 60,000 and EUR 100,000 (full-time role). The specific salary depends on requirements, scope, complexity, responsibilities, and the applicant's profile, including education, expertise, and experience. Swiss Re also offers an attractive performance-based variable component, along with global and location-specific benefits. Eligibility varies based on Swiss Re policies and employment contracts.
