Senior QA Engineer

The Senior QA Engineer works on moderate to highly complex assignments and projects across multiple Sage teams.

The Senior QA Engineer has

substantial knowledge and proficiency in automation design and analyses, plans, coordinates and drives multiple complex automation initiatives, projects and systems to meet

automation deliverables.

In this role, the Senior QA Engineer must help to drive and inspire Sage groups to break new ground, overcome challenges and reach new levels of

automation achievement that can extend the reach of automation with the goal of reducing / redirecting manual testing costs across Sage while increasing quality standards.

• This is a hybrid position - you will work 3 days a week in our Barcelona office.
• Drive the definition of automation test objectives, strategies, processes, standards and metrics and coach other disciplines so they understand how and when to add most value to a project through automation.
• Lead in the analysis, design, development, and ongoing maintenance of complex automated tests and liaising with the Test Automation architect (where present), the automation architecture for multiple products aligning with Sage current and future marketplace needs.
• Lead automation project plans, scope, schedule and implementation of test and project level architecture within the automation framework. This will involve communicating both internally and externally with cross functional areas impacted by automation.
• Drive research and discovery for opportunity or improvement within automation, developing and enhancing existing tools, researching and recommending tools and pushing even better practices than may be standard in the industry.
• Lead the development, execution, analysis, and presentation of performance / benchmark, load, and scalability testing based on product requirements.
• Carry out such tasks as directed to meet the needs of the business.
