Your mission
We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Field Service Engineer Iberia to support the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of photovoltaic (PV) systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of solar technology, electrical systems, and field operations. You will work closely with customers, installers, and internal teams to ensure high-quality service and system performance in the field.
Your main responsibilities
Perform on-site installation supervision, commissioning, and inspection of PV systems (residential, C&I, or utility scale)
Provide technical support during installation and after-sales phases
Diagnose and troubleshoot system faults, electrical issues, or performance irregularities
Conduct routine maintenance and testing of solar systems to ensure optimal operation
Collaborate with EPCs, installers, and technical support teams to ensure project success
Maintain detailed documentation, reports, and logs related to site visits and service interventions
Train local installers or partners on product handling, installation procedures, and safety compliance
Ensure compliance with local electrical regulations, company standards, and health and safety requirements
Support remote technical teams with field data and customer insights
Travel to project sites as required (national or international, depending on the role)
Your Profile
Degree in Electrical Engineering , Renewable Energy, or related technical field
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a field engineering or technical support role in the solar PV sector
Solid understanding of PV systems (string inverters, storage, grid connections, etc.)
Familiarity with electrical diagrams, schematics, and test instruments
Hands‑on experience with commissioning and system troubleshooting
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Fluency in Spanish and English is required. Knowledge of an additional language is considered a strong plus.
Willingness to travel frequently
Valid driver’s license
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with monitoring platforms , SCADA systems, or inverters (GoodWe, SMA, Huawei, Fronius, etc.)
Knowledge of local electrical standards and regulations
Certification in electrical safety or PV system installation is a plus
Basic knowledge of networking or communication protocols (Modbus, TCP / IP) is a bonus
