Offer DescriptionThe research group
“The Presynaptic Dimensions of Brain pathologies”
of University of Barcelona focuses on understanding the mechanisms of synaptic quality control, which acts in a coordinated manner to ensure that synapses can adapt to changing demands and maintain their functionality over time. Dysfunction in these processes can lead to neurodegenerative diseases and neurological disorders. In particular, the group focuses on neurodevelopmental disorders such as motor disorders, epileptic encephalopathies, and intellectual disability.
The group combines electrophysiology with advanced imaging techniques (genetically encoded fluorescent biosensors, calcium imaging, pH measurements...) as well as animal models in mice.
We are seeking a motivated candidate for a LABORATORY TECHNICIAN whose main objective will be to provide technical expertise and contribute to the advancement of knowledge in various aspects of neuronal biology and synaptic function.
