We're Camping, a small-but-mighty brand storytelling & video agency based in Barcelona, helping B2B tech companies transform from 'boring' to heartfelt through brand & video storytelling.

As we grow, we're looking to bring paid media management in-house, giving us more direct control and deeper insights into campaign performance. We believe that by working closely with a dedicated freelancer, we can achieve more impactful results.

The role

We’re looking for a highly skilled and proactive Freelance Paid Media Manager to take charge of our clients' paid advertising efforts. Working primarily with B2B SaaS and tech clients, you’ll be responsible for the full lifecycle of paid campaigns, from strategic planning and budget allocation to execution, optimization, and detailed reporting.

This isn't just about setting up ads; it's about becoming an integral part of our project teams, providing crucial insights that inform our creative output and ensuring every dollar spent delivers maximum impact. Core responsibilities

Paid Media Strategy & Planning : Develop comprehensive paid media strategies aligned with client marketing objectives and campaign goals, identifying target audiences and optimal platforms.

Campaign Setup & Management : Execute, manage, and meticulously optimize paid campaigns across various platforms, including Google Ads, LinkedIn Ads, and potentially other social media advertising platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, X / Twitter) relevant to B2B audiences.

Budget & Performance Monitoring : Oversee campaign budgets, ensuring efficient spend, and continuously monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as CPC, CTR, CPL, and ROAS.

Data Analysis & Reporting : Provide in-depth performance analysis, generate insightful reports, and present actionable recommendations to the Camping team and clients, highlighting opportunities for improvement and growth.

A / B Testing & Optimization : Design and implement rigorous A / B tests for ad creatives, landing pages, audiences, and bidding strategies to continuously improve campaign performance.

Collaboration with Creative Team : Work closely with our in-house writers, designers, and video producers to ensure ad creatives are optimized for performance, provide data-driven feedback on creative iterations, and identify new creative opportunities.

Market & Platform Trends : Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, platform updates, and best practices in paid media to keep our strategies cutting-edge.

What We're Looking For

Required Experience & Skills

Proven experience as a Paid Media Manager or Specialist, with a strong track record of managing successful digital advertising campaigns, especially in a freelance capacity or for agencies.

Demonstrable expertise in managing paid campaigns on Google Ads and LinkedIn Ads for B2B clients.

Strong analytical skills and proficiency in using data analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform-specific analytics) to extract actionable insights.

Experience in budget management and optimizing ad spend for maximum ROI.

Excellent communication and reporting skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders.

A proactive, independent, and results-oriented mindset, with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.

Professional proficiency in English is essential.

The Perfect Fit Will Also Have

Direct experience working with B2B SaaS or tech clients.

Familiarity with marketing automation platforms or tools (like n8n) and how they integrate with paid media efforts.

Experience with video advertising formats and optimizing video campaigns.

A solid understanding of content marketing funnels and how paid media supports them.

Knowledge of SEO best practices and how they can complement paid strategies.

Location

This position is based in Barcelona, Spain. We won't be taking candidates that aren't able to live in Barcelona. For all non-contract positions, you must have the right to work in Spain.

Working model

This is a freelance, project-based, or retainer position.

We operate remotely, but a strong preference exists for candidates based in Europe or Spain to facilitate easier collaboration within our team's time zones.

While most collaboration will be remote, occasional in-person meetings at our Barcelona office might be an option if you're local and it benefits the project.
