What are we looking for?We are looking for a Data Analyst, with experience in SQL and Python, working close to one of our main clients in banking sector. Main tasks and accountabilities will be : Work collaboratively within a cross-functional team using agile methodologies, contributing to data-driven decision-making across client's business units.Design, develop, and maintain robust data pipelines and analytical models using modern data engineering and analytics practices.Apply strong data modelling and ETL principles to ensure reliable, scalable, and efficient access to high-quality data.Implement and support end-to-end data workflows—from extraction and transformation through to reporting and visualisation—while ensuring adherence to data governance and quality standard.Collaborate closely with stakeholders across different divisions to understand business requirements and translate them into actionable insights and sustainable data solutions.Participate actively in planning, backlog refinement, and sprint ceremonies alongside product owners, engineers, and domain experts.Contribute to our growing Analytics & Data community by sharing best practices, mentoring peers, and driving adoption of standardised approaches.Ensure all deliverables meet client's high standards for security, compliance, performance, and reusability What UST expects from you?Proven experience in data analysis or analytics roles with a solid foundation in : Proficiency in SQL and Python — essential for querying databases, transforming datasets, and performing advanced analysesUnderstanding of ETL concepts, including incremental loading, error handling, scheduling, and metadata managementStrong grasp of data modelling and design, including dimensional modelling (star / snowflake schemas), normalization, and semantic layer creationPractical application of data quality assurance concepts, such as validation rules, anomaly detection, lineage tracking, and issue resolution processesMaster’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, or a related field—or equivalent practical experience in a data-intensive roleGood english level (C1) you will be working with international teams.Nice to hace : Dataiku Visualisation tools such as Tableau Observability in data systems, particularly via Open Telemetry (OTEL) — including instrumentation of applications and infrastructure monitoring using agents like the OTELCollector Application and pipeline monitoring conceptsStatistical analysis techniques : regression analysis, hypothesis testing, confidence intervals, foundational predictive modelling etc. Work locationHybrid. Madrid city center (Sol area). 3 days a week in the office. Work scheduleBusiness Hours. No intensive working days for friday or summer.
