Overview

Zurich Technology Delivery Center – Barcelona, ES. This role is for a Kubernetes Engineer within the TDC, part of Zurich Insurance Group, established in Barcelona in 2006.

The TDC specializes in software development, data analytics, cybersecurity, and IT infrastructure to support Zurich's strategic goals and drive operational efficiency through technology solutions.

What Can You Expect?

As a Kubernetes Engineer you will have the opportunity to work with OpenShift and Kubernetes, design and maintain infrastructure, and collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and deploy them on OpenShift / Kubernetes.

Responsibilities

• Provide support for Cloud incidents and problems. Perform monitoring, profiling and troubleshooting of existing solutions.
• Provide support for OpenShift and Kubernetes incidents and problems. Perform monitoring, profiling, and troubleshooting of existing solutions.
• Design, implement, and maintain scalable OpenShift / Kubernetes infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to containerize applications and deploy them on OpenShift / Kubernetes.
• Optimize cluster performance, resource utilization, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for OpenShift / Kubernetes environments.
• Ensure the security of OpenShift / Kubernetes clusters by following best practices and implementing security controls.
• Automate deployment and management processes using infrastructure as code tools.
• Stay up to date with ecosystem developments and propose improvements.
• Work with key stakeholders to understand requirements and existing systems.
• Create technical documentation and define solutions.
• Collaborate with teammates to evolve the platform and ensure service excellence.
• Continuously learn about new technologies and apply them to customer needs.
• Work in Agile mode to fulfil stakeholder requirements.
• Participate in Solution Strategy and technology roadmap discussions.
• Collaborate with experts in various technological domains.
• Contribute to a team that values input and creativity.
• Enhance skills with real-world experience.
