The opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join our Analytics & BI team in our Technical Hub in Valencia. In this role, you will ensure our data infrastructure is optimally set up to deliver high-quality, reliable data for driving business decisions. You'll lead efforts such as growing into more scalable cloud data warehousing and big data tooling. You will directly contribute to our mission to inspire others to live healthy and active lives by empowering our teams through data which will ensure we provide an enjoyable, smooth experience to our members and partners while simultaneously building up a sustainable business to serve these groups for the years to come

What you will do

• You will ensure that our platform delivers optimal performance by enhancing our extensive data model landscape. This will enable data analysts and other data consumers to derive insights more rapidly.
• We work with DBT, Google Cloud, BigQuery and Looker as our main tech stack. Check our Tech Radar for the full list of technologies we use.
• You will be embedded in a team of highly skilled data engineers who have already built a robust data platform. Help us shape it further with your expertise and knowledge.
• Support our primary stakeholders, that being the analytics team and downstream data consumers in building optimised ELT pipelines, caring for performance, data quality and reliability.
• Design and optimize data models and table structures for efficient consumption by analysts and other stakeholders.
• Participate in capacity planning for future data growth and evolving business requirements.
