Are you passionate about automation and ready to take full technical ownership of your projects? As a Control & Automation Engineer in our team, you'll be involved in the entire lifecycle of our installations — from the first design steps to final commissioning.

You'll work closely with experts in design, programming, and project management, each a specialist in their domain. Together, you'll turn complex challenges into smart, working solutions. This role offers in-depth technical variety, hands-on involvement, and the opportunity to become the go-to expert in automation within a collaborative and experienced team.

As our Control & Automation Engineer, you will

  • Take ownership regarding control & automation within your project, designing the process and regulation of our biomass energy plants together with the Design Engineer and Project Manager.
  • Plan the electrical drawings and PLC programming with our electrical designers and PLC programmers.
  • Define the technical specifications and instrumentation of your project, and manage automation-related supplier quotations, purchase orders, and subcontracts.
  • Be the main point of contact for the customer and the project team for all automation-related topics, attending meetings and visiting the site during various project stages.
  • Organize risk analyses, lead HAZOP meetings, and assist the preparation of key project documentation such as P&IDs, functional descriptions, and HMI manuals;
  • Follow up external inspections and assist your colleagues during commissioning, offering remote guidance to ensure a smooth start-up.

We imagine our ideal candidate would :

  • Hold a master's degree in electrotechnics or electromechanics, with a focus on automation and electrical engineering, or equivalent through experience.
  • Have basic knowledge of electrical design, with working knowledge of tools like EPLAN, PLCs (Siemens S7, TIA Portal and / or Rockwell), SCADA systems (such as WinCC, InTouch), and industrial networks.
  • Have a true passion for automation in its broadest sense; you want to be up to date on the latest trends and are always curious to explore new technologies.
  • Communicate confidently on a technical level with customers, while actively guiding the project team toward successful results.
  • Be willing to travel (short trips) to our customers and their production plants.
  • Be fluent in English.
