ABOUT THE ROLE AND THE TEAM

SITA globally spends sizeable sums on our indirect procurement scope including FM, Professional Services, Consultancy and Marketing etc.

Effective control and management of this spend via proactive procurement is essential to help deliver savings, value add and to support the wider strategy of SITA.

Margin erosion as well as new entrants are challenging SITA's position and innovative new ways to drive commercial savings, adding more value as well as balancing supply continuity and environmental considerations are essential.

The Indirect Strategic Procurement Lead role is responsible for setting the Procurement strategy for the Global Indirect category / supply chain and delivering on key objectives, targets and KPI’s for Global Indirect procurements, sourcing and key projects.

The role is also responsible for building and maintaining the centre of excellence for the central group Indirect category, providing market and subject expertise as well as delivering an environment of continuous improvement exploring new commercial and contractual models as well as challenging market norms and Indirect supply chains to better support SITA's growth and wider transformation.

WHAT YOU WILL DO :

To provide strategic leadership for the Indirect procurement category scope, setting and implementing an innovative, clear written strategy and taking the lead on proactive engagement with the material Indirect suppliers to reduce cost, mitigate risk and build strong partnerships.

Working with the Head of Group Procurement, key stakeholders & regional Procurement leads to build accurate and timely pipeline and strong internal relationships to ensure engagement in the real buying decision and to maximise leverage of global frameworks.

Providing thought leadership, innovation & creative new ideas to drive positive change in the way Sita procures from and engages with key Indirect providers and the wider supply chain as well as increasing rapport with key internal scope stakeholders.

Provide the required leadership to evolve the Indirect category and exploring new ways to source and procure via new commercial models and building and maintaining world class relationships with key strategic suppliers.

Constructively disrupt current norms and look at proactive, new ways to engage with the supply market to deliver more dynamic benefits, contracts and commercial models to SITA and its clients.

Ensure robust relationships, continuity of supply, and make Sita a customer of choice in the market.

Managing three direct reports to deliver on objectives, mitigate risk and deliver evolving commercial benefit for SITA and its clients.

Key Duties :

  • Playing a key role in our current transformation activities and implementation of IValua
  • Be the workstream champion for Category Management
  • Create Travel Sourcing Strategy and negotiate best pricing / terms as applicable. Commercial management of core travel provider
  • Creation, ownership and evolution of the Global Indirect Procurement category
  • Develop and maintain the Indirect category centre of excellence market knowledge, subject matter expertise, world class contracts and commercials
  • Evolve, change and improve the current Indirect procurement processes, engagement models and identify and implement new innovative commercial models and supply chain routes to market.
  • Create an environment of continual improvement to challenge market norms and models and deliver new, innovative solutions to Sita and its clients
  • Delivery of new Indirect Category plans, and corresponding objectives and commercial value
  • Ownership of strategic Procurement engagement with critical suppliers
  • Ownership of Indirect category engagement with key internal stakeholders
  • Business Partner SPOC with a key Business Unit for Group Procurement
  • Play a material role in supporting the Group Head of Procurement to deliver transformational change activities and continuous improvement across the Procurement team scope and remit.
  • Provision of timely MI and reporting on key savings, spend data, category key stats, market trends and other relevant Indirect scope procurement measures.
  • Reduce $ cost and mitigate risk for Sita and Sita clients via proactive and timely procurement engagement for the Indirect category scope

Qualifications ABOUT YOUR SKILLS :

  • 10+ Years Strategic Indirect procurement experience in a global environment
  • Degree in Business / Financial sciences or equivalent work experience;
  • Membership of a recognized purchasing professional body exp CIPS (Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply) preferred.
  • Experience of FM, Marketing, PS, Consultancy, HR, Legal and Travel categories
  • Leadership skills and experience working in a global, dynamic environment
  • Business partnering & relationship building skills stakeholders, regional teams and supplier
  • Negotiation of global deals, terms, commercials and frameworks
  • Contract Drafting
  • Awareness and experience of key Indirect contractual risks
  • Category Management & Category Strategies
  • Strong experience and knowledge of key Indirect terms and requirements
  • Team player but with ability to work on own initiative
  • Digital tools experience / IT literate
  • Commercial mindset / numeracy
  • Inquisitive and innovative exploring new commercial terms, models and routes to market
