Our client operates in two facilities based in Turkey & Ukraine and with production facilities also in Turkey and Morocco.
As part of our client's growth strategy, and with the aim of being a pro-active sales organization and to increase flexibility in the location of our manufacturing activities, they are currently opening a robust and independent commercial center in Madrid which will serve as strategic hub for commercial operations globally. As part of this exciting strategic journey of expansion of the company, our client is looking for a Senior Accountant located in Madrid (Spain).
1. MISSION
Reporting to the Finance Manager at Group level, this role will join our Finance team in Madrid (Spain). The Senior Accountant, will lead all accounting operations, assuring the accuracy of our financial records, compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations and taking ownership of the tasks and issues related to the accounting function. He / she will collaborate closely with colleagues across the company and group.
2. FUNCTIONAL CONTENT
The Senior Accountant will be responsible for :
Customer invoicing and registration of supplier invoices
Processing incoming and outgoing payments
Managing Bank reconciliations
Reporting VAT and tax to Spanish authorities
Ensuring compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations
Taking ownership of the tasks and issues related to the accounting function and nearby administrative areas
Oversighting payroll payments (being Payroll services outsourced)
Using daily Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
Collaborating closely with colleagues across the company and group
3. JOB PROFILE
A) Required Studies & Knowledge
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional accounting certification (e.g., ACCA, CPA) is a plus
Strong knowledge of Spanish accounting and tax legislation
Proficient in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central
B) Professional Experience
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar accounting position
Proven experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in an international environment
C) Languages
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
