Senior SAP Expert

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Basis Consultant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in SAP system administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, kernel updates, patching, and certificate lifecycle management.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and executing patching cycles for SAP HANA, Kernel, and Linux OS, as well as managing and troubleshooting technical interfaces such as RFC and OpenFT. They will also configure and maintain network-related components, implement and maintain SAP support packages and SAP Security Notes, monitor and troubleshoot background jobs, administer transport tools, perform user and role administration, and configure and maintain Single Sign-On integrations.

In addition, the SAP Basis Consultant will lead disaster recovery activities, including backup strategies and system replication, oversee certificate management, apply and operationalize security requirements from CTM audits and internal governance, and develop and maintain basic automation scripts to improve operational efficiency.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on experience in SAP Basis administration across complex system landscapes
• Expert proficiency in SAP system administration, including installation, configuration, upgrades, kernel updates, patching, and certificate lifecycle management
• Strong expertise in SAP HANA, covering architecture, sizing, performance optimization, backup & recovery, and lifecycle operations
• Experience operating SAP in cloud environments (Azure, AWS, RISE with SAP)
• Familiarity with SAP BTP, Fiori, and integration technologies
• Solid background in Linux system administration, including shell scripting, SSH, PGP encryption, and general troubleshooting
• Experience with SAP Solution Manager and associated monitoring tools
• Fluent English is required. Spanish is an asset but not mandatory
• Strong communication, coordination, and stakeholder-management skills
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and operate effectively in a dynamic environment
