Overview

Data Engineer with Spark – Senior – EY GDS Spain - Hybrid

The Opportunity :

This position requires a strong technical background in data integration (ETL / Pipeline), and expertise in PySpark and Spark. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.

As a member of our team in the EY GDS Spain office in Malaga, you’ll have a chance to extend your knowledge & experience by working on interesting projects with the newest technologies and approaches. You’ll support clients in choosing the most suitable business solution and take part in digital transformation.

Key Responsibilities

ETL process construction / adaptation
Execution of Unit and Integrated Tests
Participating in requirements gathering and documentation
Supporting team in workshops and contact with the user
Coding ETL processes in Spark / PySpark
Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts

Qualifications

Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Data Engineering, Data Science, or a related field

4 years of experience

High level of Spanish (Native or C1 / C2) and English (B2)

Experience with Spark, PySpark, Python and AWS / Azure

Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Ideally, you will also have

Experience in the insurance sector

Experience in dashboard construction and Power BI
