Position Overview
We are looking for a Project Developer to join our Development Department and contribute actively to the growth of our project pipeline in Spain. The role is focused on development of Wind, PV, Pump Storage and BESS projects in Spain from early stage through the investment decision and handover to the construction & operations team, following Altano standards and project management guidelines.
Main Responsibilities
- Reporting to Development Director.
- Identification, analysis, and development of new project opportunities (greenfield and co-development).
- Management of relationships with landowners, local stakeholders, communities and co-developers.
- Manage the permitting process including the preparation and / or review of the documentation for EIA (Evaluación de Impacto Ambiental) and Permits, the relationships with all the involved authorities and bodies, the representation of the interests of Altano with the different authorities.
- Manage directly and / or by coordinating external consultants / developers all the activities related to the assigned project, including site pre-selection and environmental constraints analysis, wind potential assessment, layout definition and optimization.
- Supervision of preliminary technical studies : land restrictions analysis, resource assessment, layout design, etc.
- Coordination with external consultants, engineering firms, and other involved parties.
- Monitoring of the regulatory status of projects : milestones, deadlines, and compliance requirements.
- Cross-functional collaboration with legal, technical, financial, and construction teams to ensure project viability and progress.
- Support in due diligence processes and preparation of materials for internal decision-making.
- Support off-take, financing, and M&A discussions, as requested.
What we are looking for
University degree in Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a related field. A Maste’s degree is highly valued.3–5 years of experience in renewable energy project development in Spain (PV, wind, or storage), including permitting and land management.Solid understanding of the Spanish regulatory framework and administrative procedures in the energy sector.Experience in RTB and COD regulatory status and legal process.Skilled in project management with the ability to multi-task and prioritize critical path tasks effectively.Highly capable of working constructively and maintaining good relationships with public officials and agencies.Superior verbal and written communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to present to diverse audiences, including landowners, potential off-takers, government officials, and corporate leaders.Fluent in Spanish and English (minimum C1 level).Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint); GIS or AutoCAD skills are a plus.Driver’s license and willingness to travel within Spain.What We Offer
