Overview

MediaMarktSaturn Technology is looking for a Product Owner for our Search Machine Learning team. You will shape how our customers find products and drive ML-powered search relevance, working closely with data scientists, engineers and analysts to deliver search improvements and analytics.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for developing and driving exciting solutions in data engineering, analytics and machine learning (ML) to boost search relevance for customers browsing category pages, brand pages or full-text search in online shops or apps.
  • You collaborate with data scientists, engineers and analysts to design and deliver ML-powered solutions, including hybrid search models, NLP, recommendations, anomaly detection and other advanced techniques, focusing on data preparation, search relevance, KPI tracking and analytics.
  • You own and drive the product roadmap and backlog for ML-driven search relevance, aligned with business and enterprise strategy.
  • You partner with other product owners, search managers, analysts and stakeholders across countries to capture business requirements and translate them into actionable search improvements.
  • You translate company strategy into actionable tasks in the area of search and build a bridge between business units using the search engine and the DevOps team developing the product.

Qualifications

  • You have completed studies in informatics, business informatics, computer science, physics, mathematics or related disciplines.
  • You have an understanding of Machine Learning algorithms and the model development lifecycle, with interest in areas such as search intent recognition, KPI anomaly detection and reporting.
  • You possess high technical understanding, can grasp new tasks quickly, and can think business in an environment with interdependencies.
  • Knowledge of ML frameworks, SQL and / or Python is a plus.
  • Experience in Agile product development; background in e-commerce and search technologies is an advantage.
  • You are reliable, motivated, with good communication skills and willingness to collaborate across teams; able to work remotely or in Munich or Ingolstadt offices.
  • You are fluent in English; German is a plus.
