About the Role

We are looking for a qualified and experienced Team Lead to join our iLovePDF Tech team. You will be responsible for managing team members and ensuring the quality of the iLovePDF Desktop solution.

The application is available for Windows and macOS systems. The Desktop Team develops and maintains its versions using technologies like QT, QML, C++, and various PDF and image processing libraries.

What You Will Do

You will lead the iLovePDF Desktop team, oversee the entire release lifecycle—from gathering information from stakeholders to planning, execution, and release. This includes managing releases for the Apple App Store, Windows Store, and MSI / MSIX installers.

Based on business needs, you may also explore new technologies, develop demos / prototypes, and collaborate with sales to develop requirement specifications. You will also participate in strategic activities for the desktop department to meet business objectives.

What We’re Looking For

We seek a team coach curious about new digital technologies, experienced in managing software development teams, and committed to making our desktop app the best in the B2C and B2B markets.

Ideal candidates will have :

  • 5+ years in embedded software management or desktop applications
  • 5+ years in team leadership with strong management and motivation skills
  • Experience in User Experience and User-Centered Design
  • Knowledge of agile, waterfall, and RAD methodologies
  • Understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
  • Ability to quickly learn system specifications and technical details
  • Strong skills in project estimation, planning, monitoring, risk, and issue management
  • Attention to detail in troubleshooting and ownership of solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills in team and product quality management
  • Experience with Jira
  • Fluency in English, Spanish, and / or Catalan
  • EU citizenship or valid work permit for Spain

Nice to Have :

  • Experience with file-processing apps & digital signatures
  • Experience with Qt6 and QML-based projects
