Quality Assurance Engineer

Overview

We’re looking for a QA Engineer to join our team and take ownership of automated testing efforts. The company has a mature Python / pytest-based test suite; the goal is to extend, improve, and optimize what we have rather than starting from scratch. The ideal candidate will collaborate with the engineering team to maintain a high-quality product as we scale.

What You'll Be Doing

• ~30% of your time will be spent collaborating on ongoing feature development : review requirements, create test strategies and test plans, and perform continuous testing with the dev team.
• ~70% of your time will be focused on automated testing and infrastructure : improving and maintaining the existing Python / pytest-based test suite, working with Docker and GitLab CI, and collaborating with developers to ensure test coverage, reliability, and speed.

This is a collaborative role — testing is a shared responsibility across the engineering team, and about one-third of engineering time is already dedicated to testing. You’ll bring structure, direction, and continuous improvement to our QA processes rather than taking testing away from developers.
