Staff Software Engineer (Frontend), Application Platform Track

Descripción del trabajoDefine and drive long-term technical strategy for core frontend architecture, shared components, and performance Lead design and delivery of scalable, reusable, and accessible UI components that align with our design system Collaborate across product and platform teams to ensure consistent user experience and engineering practices Guide major architectural improvements and migrations (e.g., modernizing React usage, bundling strategies, or performance instrumentation) Mentor engineers across the company on frontend best practices, accessibility, testing, and performance Set standards and drive adoption of new tools, libraries, and patterns that elevate developer experience and code quality Identify and resolve complex frontend challenges related to performance, accessibility, or scalability Partner with Design Systems and Platform teams to align on foundational UI and DevEx investments JavaScript / TypeScript Event Sourcing React Redux Redux-saga Styled-components Webpack Jest / testing-library, playwright 8+ years of frontend engineering experience, including 2+ years in a staff or principal-level role Deep expertise in React, TypeScript, and modern frontend architectures Strong understanding of web performance, responsive design, and testing strategies Experience designing scalable component libraries or frontend frameworks used by multiple teams Proven track record of technical leadership in cross-functional, multi-team initiatives Passion for clean, maintainable, and well-documented code Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to influence engineers and stakeholders at all levels Comfortable operating in ambiguity, driving alignment, and making pragmatic trade-offs Lead platform-wide UI architecture that impacts millions of users Work with a kind, collaborative, and driven team of engineers and designers Influence the direction of frontend development across the company Help shape the future of PandaDoc’s engineering excellence and product quality Enjoy a supportive, remote-first environment that prioritizes growth and autonomy An honest, open culture that emphasizes feedback and promotes professional and personal development An opportunity to work from anywhere — our team is distributed worldwide. 6 self-care days A competitive salary Medical insurance And much more! Overview
Staff Frontend Engineer to join the Application Platform track, Surfaces (Core UX) area. You will help build and evolve the core frontend infrastructure and user experience foundations that power the PandaDoc application, and define the technical vision for shared components, performance tooling, and frontend architecture at scale across 35+ product teams.

Surfaces is the foundational team for PandaDoc’s frontend experience. We focus on :
- Evolving frontend architecture to improve scalability, performance, and maintainability
- Delivering modern shared components and primitives that support a consistent and delightful user experience
- Empowering product teams with better DX and tooling for building UI faster and safer
- Driving best practices in accessibility, performance, testing, and maintainability
- Leading cross-team initiatives to modernize the frontend stack and introduce new technologies
