About the Role :

As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will take a hands-on role in designing, building, and managing cloud-native infrastructure solutions. This role requires deep expertise in AWS and GCP platforms, infrastructure as code (IaC), containerization, cloud security, and automation.

You will work on enhancing cloud environments, implementing security controls, supporting CI / CD pipelines, and driving automation efforts across cloud infrastructure. Your contributions will play a key role in ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of systems in production.

This is a 12-month contract based in Madrid, Spain, with a strong possibility of extension.

Key Responsibilities :

Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure on AWS and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and CloudFormation.

Build and optimize CI / CD pipelines using GitLab CI / CD and AWS CodePipeline.

Maintain and support Windows and Linux systems, including Windows AD, Citrix / Workspaces (VDI).

Work with containers and orchestration tools (EKS, Fargate).

Support cloud-native NoSQL databases like DynamoDB, Neptune, and DocumentDB.

Implement Cloud Security best practices and controls.

Manage cloud networking, VPC, and disaster recovery (DRP) solutions.

Automate operational tasks using Bash, Python, Go, or Ansible.

Leverage AWS Serverless architectures and Config Management tools (AWS SSM, Ansible).

Champion DevSecOps principles and practices across teams.

Preferred Skills :

Several years of experience in cloud engineering roles.

Strong hands-on expertise in AWS and GCP environments.

Experience with containerized environments and modern DevOps toolchains.

Deep understanding of cloud networking, security, and automation.

Background in DevSecOps with strong scripting capabilities.
