Senior Platform Engineer with GCP (Europe, remote)

Svitla Systems, Inc. is hiring a Senior Platform Engineer for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Europe. The role supports a broker platform that offers brokers real-time risk capacity using a proprietary algorithm and the latest machine learning technology to make faster, more informed decisions, built on Google Cloud. The platform provides 24 / 7 access and supports quoting across four Lloyd’s of London syndicates. Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and maintain testable, secure GCP platforms and infrastructure that provide the foundation for all critical software to be built upon.
• Empower product squads to own how they deliver software robustly and at scale.
• Collaborate with developers, technology, and product teams to design and build robust, scalable systems.
• Create and maintain operational documentation as required.
• Advocate for best practices in maintaining and operating stable, robust software systems.
• Provide operational support for the systems owned by the platform squad.
• Serve as a domain expert in platform and cloud infrastructure technologies.
• Uphold and advance the engineering team’s principles and ways of working.
• Mentor and coach colleagues in engineering and business domains.
