Job Overview
We are seeking a Content Conversion Specialist to join our team. As a Content Conversion Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our content conversion processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a calendar of conversion projects to ensure timely completion and minimize conflicts.
- Advise management of calendar conflicts and resource constraints to optimize project workflows.
- Coordinate team activities when multiple people are working on the same conversion project to ensure seamless collaboration.
- Select and operate the correct conversion scripts for each type of input content to guarantee optimal results.
- Verify correctness of converted content to ensure accuracy and quality.
- Ensure that received content is complete and does not duplicate what has been imported already to prevent errors.
- Invoke the content-import operation for each CCMS product, ensuring that content goes into the appropriate destinations.
- Report errors in content import and pinpoint the source of content-conversion errors to facilitate prompt resolution.
- Prepare pseudo-translation of source-language content, generate output from that content, and prepare certification-status report to support the content development process.
- Assist the customer support team by reviewing and responding to issues assigned to the Level-2 queue that have not yet been assigned to anyone.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.Superior written and spoken communication skills in English.Ability to record timely and concise descriptions of tasks completed pending.Ability to work on two or more unrelated projects simultaneously, adjusting time allocation in response to fluctuating project priorities, without direct supervision.Abilities to organize and discuss issues in management-facing and customer-facing meetings.Affinity for technical discussions about content, including XML jargon, error conditions and resolutions, and patterns and options for improving conversion processes and tools.Attention to detail, especially in reviewing content to be converted to ensure accurate conversion and import.Experience in MS Excel, MS Word, and keyboarding.Ability to comply with General Office Procedures, including daily and weekly reports and issue-escalation procedures.Experience in Records and Database Management.Desired Skills and Experience
