Autonomo Network Engineer - •BARCELONA or MADRID or MALAGA •

For a global manufacturing customer, I am searching for a freelance Network Engineer for a long-term assignment. They have sites across Spain in Malaga, Barcelona and Marid; candidates should work onsite in either of these locations depending on your location.

Responsibilities for Global Network Operations

• Owns engaging, solutioning and supporting network infrastructure (Data, Security) locally and globally
• Troubleshoot complex network (LAN, WAN, DNS, etc) and firewall-related issues
• Manage and resolve user-generated incident tickets while providing excellent customer service
• Utilize and optimize operational toolset, including monitoring, configuration management, etc.
• Proactively pinpoint and eliminate network performance bottlenecks impacting business workloads
• Secure the network from malicious internal attacks
• Provide technical leadership and expertise in escalations, P1-P3 incident response tickets
• Continuous improvements - participates in Problem Management, Post-mortems, root cause analysis and accelerate / advance the resolution of incidents impacting the Critical Production Environment & pro-longing escalations

Profile

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or Information Technology or equivalent experience and / or certifications
• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on network and security experience with minimally a Cisco CCNA or CompTIA Network+ Certification
• Solid experience on Cisco, Firewalls, Fortinet, Palo Alto and InfoBlox
