The position sits within the global headquarters in Barcelona and plays a pivotal role in safeguarding the organization’s culture of integrity, transparency, and accountability. The successful candidate will oversee investigations into potential violations of company policy, the Code of Ethics, and applicable regulations across all global operations.
Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership & Governance
- Lead and manage the organization’s global investigation framework in alignment with internal standards and international best practices.
- Supervise, mentor, and review the work of local investigators, ensuring objectivity, fairness, and consistency.
- Maintain and continuously enhance investigation procedures, tools, and templates.
- Promote awareness through global “speak-up” initiatives that foster an ethical, retaliation-free environment.
- Track investigation KPIs and report insights and trends to senior leadership and governance committees.
- Operate independently of operational management, with direct escalation rights to senior compliance leadership and the Audit Committee.
Investigation Management
Assess and manage reports of potential misconduct through global reporting channels.Define the scope and methodology of investigations and ensure evidence-based, fair, and confidential processes.Conduct or oversee fact-finding, interviews, and document reviews.Draft comprehensive investigation reports and present findings and recommendations to leadership.Collaborate with Legal, HR, and Compliance to ensure appropriate and proportionate follow-up actions.Risk & Culture Enhancement
Identify trends and systemic issues, using investigation outcomes to inform policy improvements and risk mitigation strategies.Partner with regional compliance teams to align practices and share lessons learned.Monitor and address any potential retaliation concerns, ensuring continued protection for reporters and witnesses.Evaluate and strengthen the effectiveness of the global “speak-up” culture.People & Capability Development
Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on investigation standards.Design and deliver training programs to strengthen global investigation capability.Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including periodic case reviews and investigator calibration.Foster collaboration and professional excellence across the global investigation network.Profile Requirements
University degree in Law, Criminology, Psychology, Business Ethics, or related discipline.Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in corporate investigations, compliance, or legal functions within complex multinational environments.Proven ability to lead cross-border investigations with discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment.Strong understanding of global legal frameworks (ABAC, fraud, competition law, conflicts of interest, employment law, etc.).Exceptional analytical, interviewing, and report-writing skills.High integrity, resilience, and emotional intelligence in managing sensitive matters.Full professional proficiency in English; additional languages (Spanish, French, Mandarin, etc.) are highly valued.Core Competencies
