We're looking for an Engineering Team Lead to join the Engineering team of our client : a leading European Unicorn, an AI-powered spend management and procurement platform.

The company helps thousands of businesses across Europe simplify how they spend, pay, and manage expenses, giving finance teams full visibility and control while empowering employees to make smart financial decisions.

With more than 200,000 users across brands like SoundCloud, SumUp, and Bloom & Wild, and offices in France, the UK, Germany, and Spain, this is a great opportunity to lead one of the core engineering squads at the new Barcelona tech hub.

About the Role

As an Engineering Team Lead, you'll manage a team of 4–6 software engineers, working closely with a Product Manager and Product Designer.

You'll play a central role in driving your team's objectives, ensuring high-quality delivery, and fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and growth.

While not expected to code full-time, you'll remain technically involved, contributing to architecture decisions, reviewing designs and pull requests, and guiding your team through complex technical challenges.

• Conduct code reviews, participate in architectural decisions, and promote best practices.
• Define and communicate clear, SMART objectives for your team.
• Drive your team's growth and engagement through 1 : 1s, mentoring, and feedback.
• Support recruitment and onboarding of new engineers.
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performance culture.
