Job Title : Frontend Support Engineer (Analytics) – Amadeus

As a Frontend Support Engineer at Amadeus, you will be responsible for the implementation, management, and optimization of digital analytics solutions across internal systems. You will collaborate with internal teams, such as marketing, product development, and engineering, to ensure the successful setup and operation of analytics tools, primarily focusing on Google Analytics 4 , and you will implement third-party tags in line with the company’s data collection standards.
Key Responsibilities
Collaboration : Work closely with internal teams (marketing, product development, engineering) to address pixel / tag implementation requests efficiently using internal tools like the Keystone Javascript library.
Support the overall web analytics strategy by helping to structure measurement frameworks, define KPIs, and deliver insightful analysis for decision-making.
Translate business needs into technical requirements, providing inputs on testing strategies, configuration, and deployment.
Implement third-party tags (e.g., marketing, social media, affiliates) as requested by internal teams, ensuring alignement with data collection and analytics standards.
Apply and maintain tagging standards by developing and optimizing interactions with tools such as Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager.
Evaluate and recommend the latest data tracking technologies to support business initiatives and maintain leadership in analytics best practices.
Technical Leadership : Take ownership of analytics implementation specifications, custom code development, and tool configurations to meet analytics needs.
Act as the internal expert on digital analytics and site tagging, ensuring that all implementations follow industry best practices.
Continuously improve the efficiency of the analytics implementation by evolving internal tools, such as the Keystone Javascript Library.
Operations : Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues, working to resolve them and enhance the resilience of the analytics infrastructure.
Ensure proper data collection and tracking setups across web and mobile platforms, ensuring high data quality for all stakeholders.
Innovation : Explore new analytics platforms (e.g., Adobe Analytics, Matomo, Contentsquare, Hotjar, MS Clarity) and propose integration approaches; design and build automated reporting dashboards using tools like Google Looker Studio or other data visualization platforms.
Propose and execute multivariate testing plans, setting up experiments within optimization platforms to improve product performance.
Qualifications
MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
3+ years of experience in software development and / or digital analytics , with a strong focus on web development , analytics process design, and implementation.
Proven experience with Google Analytics 4 ; knowledge of Adobe Analytics is a plus.
Good experience working with Google Tag Manager; familiarity with Adobe Launch, Tealium, or other tag management systems is a plus.
Proven experience with HTML, JavaScript , and popular frontend libraries and frameworks.
Hands-on experience with Typescript (NodeJS and / or Angular experience is a plus).
Familiarity with version control systems like GIT and experience working in Agile environments (SCRUM / Kanban).
Experience using browser debugging tools (console, network, local / session storage, cookies); knowledge of traffic acquisition (UTM parameters) and cookie consent mechanisms is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve tracking and analytics implementation issues.
Excellent technical communication skills to collaborate effectively with internal teams.
Proficiency in multivariate testing and experimentation within digital platforms to drive product optimizations.
Experience creating and maintaining automated dashboards and reporting systems using visualization tools such as Google Looker Studio or Qlik.
