About This Role

Our company seeks an experienced Cloud Architect to join its Architecture team. This role is critical in managing and optimizing our multi-cloud environment, specifically AWS and Azure (nice to have). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud infrastructure management, security best practices, cost optimization, and governance to ensure our cloud environments are secure, efficient, and aligned with industry best practices. As a Cloud Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure solutions, establishing governance frameworks, and automating processes to streamline operations across our AWS accounts. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to support development, deployment, and operational tasks, ensuring that all cloud resources are well-managed, secure, and cost-effective.

Key Responsibilities

  • Designing and Deploying Cloud Infrastructure
  • Implementing Best Practices for Cloud Security and Governance
  • Managing and Optimizing Cloud Resources
  • Ensuring Proper Tagging and Organization of Cloud Resources
  • Implementing and Managing Security Best Practices for Azure and AWS
  • Maintaining Incident Response Plans and Ensuring Quick Recovery from Outages or Security Incidents

Requirements

Experience :

  • 5+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure management, with a focus in AWS and Azure.
  • Proven track record of implementing and managing cloud security, governance, and cost management practices in a production environment.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or ARM templates.
  • Proficiency in automation and orchestration tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar.
  • Extensive experience with cloud monitoring, logging, and alerting tools.

    • Tech Skills

  • In-depth knowledge of Azure and AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and others.
  • Strong understanding of cloud security principles, including IAM, security groups, key management, encryption, and network security.
  • Experience with cloud networking, including VPNs, VPCs, Azure VNets, load balancers, DNS, and routing.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, or Bash.
  • Experience with CI / CD tools and pipelines, integrating them with cloud environments (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
  • Expertise in cloud cost management and optimization strategies.
  • Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, ELK Stack, or similar.

    • Certifications

  • AWS : AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate / Professional or AWS Certified SysOps Administrator.
  • Azure : Microsoft Certified : Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
  • Additional certifications in security (e.g., CISSP, AWS Certified Security Specialty) or DevOps are a plus.
