Overview
Leadership and strategic planning are crucial in the IT industry, especially in finance and controlling. As an IT Manager, you will be responsible for leading a team of professionals who manage and implement various IT solutions across the organization.
The role involves defining annual IT priorities in collaboration with senior business stakeholders and ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. This requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to prioritize initiatives effectively.
You will work closely with the finance leadership to develop and implement IT projects that meet the organization's goals and objectives. This includes managing project portfolios, overseeing system configuration, testing, training, and data migration activities.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of IT professionals.
- Oversee recruitment, performance management, development, and succession planning.
- Conduct salary reviews and ensure team capacity planning.
- Continuously monitor and improve team performance.
- Define annual IT priorities in collaboration with senior business stakeholders.
- Represent IT in global committees and act as an escalation point for business stakeholders.
- Manage the IT project portfolio for Finance & Controlling.
- Analyze and prioritize user requirements; advise stakeholders on IT solutions with a background in common technologies, mainly SAP.
- Estimate project costs, approve concepts / specs, and facilitate workshops.
- Oversee system configuration / customization, testing, training, and data migration of the SAP solution.
- Manage development services and external partners.
- Train vendors on organizational standards and monitor software delivery quality.
- Collaborate with IT Vendor & Service Management to define and source external services.
- Establish service levels for externally sourced applications.
Requirements
Strong leadership and people management skills, with experience in coaching, developing, and motivating teams.Solid understanding of SAP FI / CO and related financial systems, with hands-on experience in solution design and delivery.Strategic planning and budgeting expertise, including capacity planning and resource allocation.Proven ability to manage IT project portfolios and prioritize initiatives in alignment with business objectives.Skilled in stakeholder engagement, acting as a trusted advisor and escalation point for senior business leaders.Proficient in analyzing business requirements and translating them into effective IT solutions.Experience in overseeing system configuration, testing, training, and data migration activities.Knowledge of governance, compliance (e.g., GMP), and quality assurance standards.Strong vendor management capabilities, including service level definition and quality control of deliverables.Ability to define and implement IT strategy and deployment methodologies.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.Collaborative mindset with experience working across functions such as tax, treasury, and shared services.#J-18808-Ljbffr
