Supply Chain Manager Job Description The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing the entire supply chain process, including planning, forecasting, purchasing, logistics, and capacity planning. This role ensures structured planning processes, manages supply chain meetings, and participates in development initiatives aligned with Nutreco standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Manage supply chain planning and forecasting, aligning various plans and managing information for improved quality and consistency. Organize and participate in supply chain meetings, including minute-taking and action plan tracking.
Oversee purchasing of materials and equipment to ensure an uninterrupted supply at optimal costs.
Coordinate logistics activities for timely transportation, warehousing, and distribution of materials and products.
Plan long-term capacity for raw materials based on sales analysis and forecasting, collaborating closely with Commercial, Purchasing, and Operations teams.
Monitor KPIs such as forecast accuracy, bias, OTIF, and stock levels, including supplier performance evaluation.
Leadership :
Provide leadership by setting objectives, reviewing performance, and giving feedback to team members.
Develop and evaluate planners through coaching, skills development, and fostering accountability.
Promote a culture of leadership and collaboration to improve supply chain processes and performance.
Operational Excellence :
Identify, benchmark, and implement supply chain best practices and operational improvements.
Enhance the efficiency and responsiveness of supply chain activities to meet customer demands.
Conduct root cause analyses and implement sustainable solutions.
Manage various improvement projects to optimize processes.
Quality and HSE Compliance :
Ensure all activities comply with HSE and quality regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Promote awareness and address anomalies related to safety and quality standards.
