Business Development Manager - Cosmetics

With multiple awards at key conferences including a silver award for best functional at in-cosmetics and multiple other shortlisted ingredients, this is a company that remains on top of key trends and will be able to provide their customers with innovative, sustainable and leading ingredients for skin care, hair care, sun care and colour cosmetics. Founded hundreds of years ago, this is an established organisation with a global presence.

With a solid portfolio in functional and speciality ingredients, our client are now seeking a Business Development Manager (Natural Cosmetic Oils) to build out their natural cosmetic oils portfolio. This is an integral hire for this company and will be a visible role within the company.

Key Responsibilities Assess the existing natural oils portfolio and then build a unique portfolio

Collaborate closely with R&D to ensure an innovative product portfolio

Define and implement a clear roadmap to drive growth and profitability of the portfolio

Build a portfolio of natural oils, finding new suppliers and developing relationships with key parties

End to end responsibility for the performance of the product line, identifying anything that is needed to ensure profitability e.g. capex investments and team capabilities

Conduct in-depth market analysis and continue to remain on top of market trends, consumer dynamics and geopolitical advancements

Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders within a global matrix organisation

Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to develop and understand their needs and business challenges

Qualifications 5 to 15 years experience with cosmetic ingredients

Experience with natural oils

Experience building out a new product portfolio

Ability to work hybrid near one of our clients sales offices

Ability to work independently, take initiative and make key strategic decisions
