Practical experience with application security testing and penetration testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications. Experience protecting organizations from cyber threats and with platforms to monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents. Passionate about building secure products and systems. Familiarity with cloud security and modern web application security. Well-versed in Object Oriented Programming such as Python, Java, C#, and enthusiasm for web technologies, including modern JavaScript. Willing to work in Python / JavaScript (but not required to have experience with both languages). Fluent in English. Overview
Security Software Engineer - Tech Foundations at Alan. The Tech Foundations area enables Product Crews to experiment and ship product increments quickly, with security as a nonnegotiable attribute. This role focuses on strengthening security across our engineering organization and protecting sensitive health data.
Responsibilities
- Strengthen the security posture across the engineering organization, with hands-on experience in application security testing and penetration testing to identify and mitigate vulnerabilities in web and mobile applications.
- Protect the organization from cyber threats by monitoring, detecting, and responding to security incidents, and working with platforms that support security operations.
- Contribute to building secure products and systems and ensure security is integrated into product development and infrastructure.
- Contribute to Tech Foundations goals such as infrastructure enablement, security and compliance facilitation, developer productivity improvements, and design / development unification (e.G., CI / CD, authentication, database anonymization, Design System).
