Financial Controller
Location : Ebury Madrid Office - 4 days a week, office-based working (1 day from home office)
Role
The Finance team is a strong and growing part of the business. We're looking for an individual who can support and challenge us in our journey to take finance to the next level.
The Financial Controller will work within the Financial Control and Reporting (FC&R) team, reporting directly to the Head of Financial Reporting.
The FC&R team is responsible for maintaining proper accounting records both locally and at a Group level, including internal and external IFRS and local GAAP reporting, as well as reporting to the parent company, Santander. In addition, this team is responsible for complex accounting areas such as IFRS 9 and 13, IFRS 16, IAS 36, IAS 38, etc. The role will incorporate establishing and enhancing control measures and identifying opportunities for Ebury to be more efficient and effective.
You will be instrumental in delivering an efficient and effective Financial Control framework across our global operations. The Finance team is a commercially focused, business partnering team, where you will work with key business control owners throughout the organisation.
This is a position that will require a high level of collaboration and flexibility.

The successful candidate should demonstrate the capacity to adapt to the changing environment, as well as have critical thinking and strong communication skills. The candidate will need to effectively collaborate and employ innovative practices, to increase efficiencies both in finance as well as across the business.
