We are looking for an experienced, skilled and highly motivated researcher with a expertise in “ Understand the digital fabrication and additive manufacturing value chain and integration of digital, programming and manufacturing constrains associated with constructions product and processes“ used to develop algorithms and efficient digital tools for design and automatization.
Responsibilities
- Active technical development of R&D projects, especially in tasks related to data and design for manufacturing processes oriented towards to both large architecture, engineering and construction (AEC) 3D printed products and industrialized building systems.
- Creation of new advanced solutions with high added value for the sector with expertise in embedding system integration and development of robotic programming, digital fabrication processes.
- Generation of novel ideas, brainstorming processes to generate solutions for the AEC industry, translating emerging ideas into innovative research directions and practical outcomes.
- Implementation and development of scrips, design workflows, merging hardware and software for digital fabrication-based steams. Shaping IA, data and robotics programming methods to, in turn, materialise in newel more complex and robust products and processes.
- Ideation and preparation of R&D proposals for industrial clients and public calls, at national and European level.
- Stimulate development of new intellectual property by a continuous monitoring and contribution to the state-of-the art research of digital fabrication technologies.

Degree in : Civil and Environmental Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering, specialisations such as Master of Science (Msc) in Building Technology, Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Digital Fabrication and Robotics, Master of Science Program in Computation for Design and Optimization, Master in Robotics, Systems and Control or Master in Computer Science.
Experience : Demonstrable experience of 3-5 years in complex research projects, capable of responding to the problems, challenges and opportunities faced by the construction sector.
Technical background :
Expert in large scale additive manufacturing and associated processes for construction, understanding the whole value chain from hardware to software.3D computer vision and point cloud reconstruction and navigation for automation of robotic construction processes. Capable of development of real time control of robotic tool-path manufacturing associated to additive manufacturing in hybrid processes, data acquisition of physical environments and point cloud post-processing.Robotic arm, code and visual programming, computational geometry / form finding skills, in digital design (Rhino3D, Grasshopper3D, Python, etc.), industrial robots and AGV.Python programming, ROS integrations, open-source software and hardware and PLC programming.At least, 3-5 years of outstanding capacity and creative brainstorming in R&D projects, developing novel approaches, disruptive solutions and out of the box thinking on both public and privately projects.Additional requirements
Proactive and results-oriented profile, with excellent analytical, organizational and teamwork skills.Proficient in English, at least C1 level or equivalent.Availability to travel abroad.Other valuable aspects
