Technical Manager (Fleet Operations)

A leading company in the maritime industry, renowned for its excellence in providing high-quality shipping and logistics services, is looking for a Technical Manager to join their team in Tarragona .

Key Responsibilities :

• Oversee and supervise a team of Technical Superintendents, ensuring timely maintenance and repair work on the fleet.
• Ensure compliance with all statutory and regulatory requirements, including class recommendations and safety standards.
• Manage special projects, including dry dock specifications, mobilizations, and in-water repairs.
• Coordinate Annual Management Reviews and Master’s Reviews , assessing policies and procedures for continuous improvement.
• Implement Stop Work Authority (SWA) when safety is at risk and report hazards through the Safety Observation Card (SOC) or Defect Reporting System .
• Foster strong relationships with internal teams, customers, shipyard management, and suppliers.
• Assist in managing budgets and cost-saving initiatives across technical operations.
