Overview
Join Wärtsilä as the People Support Hub, Team Lead, Europe. The role leads a regional HR team, driving excellence in HR operations and ensuring efficient service delivery in a global setting. Preferred work locations are Poland, Portugal, Spain or Hungary, with consideration for other Europe locations.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Vision : Lead HR activities in PSH, implement HR strategies, policies, and processes to meet current and future human resource needs. Proactively develop HR policies and initiatives to improve employee experience and align capabilities with organisational objectives. Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide expert guidance to leaders and managers on people-related matters. Transform and implement improvements to PSH to maintain global standards while adapting to local requirements.
- Continuous Improvement & Service Delivery : Serve as the first point of contact for Wärtsilä employees and leaders across the employee lifecycle (Onboarding, Offboarding, Master Data, Reporting and Organizational Structure, Employment Documentation, Performance Management, Payroll and Time & Attendance). Advise managers, monitor SLAs / KPIs, drive HR projects, generate performance insights, and use AI / automation to enhance processes while ensuring data security and compliance.
- Leadership & Team Management : Lead and coach team members, set objectives, monitor performance, and foster an environment of continuous improvement, learning and innovation. Enable team members to provide insights into local requirements to support business and employee needs.
Qualifications
Desirably 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within an HR Shared Service Centre.Strong knowledge of HR processes across the employee lifecycle.Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills; cultural sensitivity for virtual teams.Proficiency in HR systems and tools, particularly SuccessFactors, Employee Central, and ServiceNow / Zendesk.Empathy, service-minded approach, and a passion for improving processes.Willingness to adopt new challenges and drive smarter ways of working.Additional Information
