Infrastructure Delivery Manager I, ID-Install

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a fast‑paced technology company and a leader in data center operations. We are expanding our infrastructure management team and looking for a proven technology manager with experience in people management, robust technical understanding, and the vision to elevate AWS Data Center Operations to the next level.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Prioritize and assign tasks to data center technicians and operators, manage project calendars, coach staff, and create documentation.
- Manage inbound capacity from receipt through deployment stages.
- Manage the installation of network and cabling infrastructure in a data center environment.
- Guide, train and educate staff on best practices related to service ownership issues.
- Manage tasks and deliverables across projects of small to large size.
- Recommend, document, and oversee policies and procedures to meet industry best practices and required SLAs.
- Provide weekly reports to the data center manager.
- Coordinate team resources to support project and delivery needs, including emergency projects, change management, maintenance windows, off‑hours, and on‑call support.
- Recruit and train data technicians to ensure appropriate staffing levels.
- Host weekly staff meetings.
- Drive compliance to Amazon performance management requirements.
About the Team
The Infrastructure Services team owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that keep the cloud running. You’ll collaborate with software, hardware, network engineers, supply‑chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers to deliver the highest standards for safety, security, and capacity at the lowest possible cost.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.2+ years of experience in an IT function or similar role.2+ years of experience in management, team lead, or training function.Preferred Qualifications
6+ years in a data center technology role.Experience building physical data center infrastructure such as copper / fiber cabling.Experience developing operational metrics to drive efficiencies.Experience representing your team / technical area to senior management.Experience contributing to the definition and implementation of automation opportunities within a deployment / build environment.Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status.
Base pay ranges from $70,700 / year in our lowest geographic market to $158,000 / year in our highest geographic market. Amazon is a total compensation company; equity, sign‑on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a full compensation package.
