Our Client, The CaixaResearch Institute , is set to become a leading international research center in the translational study of immunology and the most prevalent diseases. The center will conduct its own research focused on studying how the immune system works when it interacts with pathologies, such as neurological, oncological, metabolic and infectious diseases, as well as analyzing related environmental factors.

The Institute’s mission will be accomplished by prioritizing a multi- and interdisciplinary approach, the development of cutting-edge technologies and the transfer of results to society. The Institute will establish the necessary procedures to guarantee that all the activities carried out by its community will comply with the values of transparency, accountability, scientific excellence, integrity and ethics, equity and inclusion

Key responsibilities :

  • Definition of organizational and financial management requirements for research projects (work processes and technological tools).
  • Support for researchers in the management and financial accountability of research projects.
  • Communication and interaction with funding institutions.
  • Preparation and submission of the required reports on financial expenditure of the projects, according to the funding body regulations.
  • Preparation and assistance in financial audit processes.

Candidate profile :

  • Bachelor's degree in economics or similar, with specific training in research management being an advantage.
  • Minimum of five years' experience in project management (post-award) in the field of Biomedicine research.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the regulations and criteria for managing competitive national and international projects.
  • Financial and accounting knowledge applied to competitive project management.
  • Knowledge of research management ERP.
  • Advanced level of English and Spanish, Catalan will also be valued.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and service orientation.
  • Ability to plan and organize work and excellent attention to detail.
  • Initiative and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
