The Electrolyte and Anode Protective Layer Process Scale-Up Engineer position bridges the gap between laboratory breakthroughs and manufacturable products. In this role, you will focus on scaling up advanced electrolytes and protective coatings for lithium-metal anodes from bench chemistry to pilot and production-scale processes.
Translate lab-scale electrolyte and protective layer formulations into scalable processes suitable for pilot and commercial production.
Scale liquid and solid-state electrolyte synthesis methods, ensuring quality, consistency, and throughput.
Develop, optimize, and validate processing methods (mixing, coating, deposition, curing, drying, etc.) for protective layers on lithium-metal anodes.
Run tests on a range of equipment and report data / results accurately.
Conduct process failure analysis and propose engineering solutions to improve reliability and yield.
Implement quality control and in-line characterization methods for scaled-up materials and coatings.
