Key Responsibilities

  • Support the planning and execution of projects ensuring key milestones are met by collaborating with multi-functional teams and providing regular progress updates.
  • Assist in defining governance structures managing risks and ensuring decision-making processes are followed.
  • Support to track and manage project dependencies and BAU work ensuring timely completion of tasks to meet targets.
  • Help define and implement appropriate project delivery methodologies (Agile Waterfall or hybrid).
  • Assist with change management initiatives including training employee communications and managing the change agent network.
  • Gather data and insights from the project team to support reporting and provide updates to the Project Manager or Program Manager.
  • Support the coordination of regular project and portfolio management meetings tracking progress and managing interdependencies between projects.
  • Assist with closing project activities including financial management resource release and the formal handover of responsibilities to business-as-usual support.
  • Ensure compliance with PMO governance maintaining standardized tools methodologies and processes to align with best practices.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with organizational policies and quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.

Role Focus

As a member of the Global Automation Inspection team you will lead various projects to develop new solutions for the automatic inspection of CHEP's products with a focus on artificial vision technology. While most new developments will be carried out by third parties your responsibility will be to supervise the process and provide guidance to achieve the desired results. Additionally you will be in charge of improving and standardizing internal procedures for proper projects follow-up.

Specific Requirements

  • Fluent English and Spanish.
  • Solid understanding in machine vision hardware and software applications.
  • Extensive experience in machine vision system design and implementation with a focus on pallet inspection applications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong project management capabilities including vendor management, task tracking, timeline management, qualification planning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Experience working in a global or multinational environment with exposure to diverse cultures and business practices.
  • Availability for travel.
