We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Analytics Data Modeler with deep expertise in DBT and Snowflake to join our Data & Analytics team in Spain to be fully dedicated to one of our major clients in the pharmaceutical industry supporting their advanced data and analytics initiatives.
In this role you will be responsible for designing implementing and optimizing scalable data models that enable clear actionable insights across key business areas such as clinical research, supply chain and commercial operations. You'll work in close collaboration with data engineers analysts and business stakeholders to deliver trusted performant datasets that power business intelligence and advanced analytics solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop robust scalable data models using DBT (Data Build Tool) in a Snowflake cloud environment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data engineers data scientists analysts) to translate business needs into well-structured datasets and analytical frameworks.
- Maintain and version-control DBT projects including sources staging marts and macros.
- Conduct data profiling validation and testing to ensure data quality and consistency.
- Optimize the performance of DBT models and Snowflake queries for large-scale datasets.
- Ensure compliance with data governance security and regulatory standards such as GxP and GDPR.
- Support BI and visualization teams (e.g. Tableau Power BI) by providing clean trusted and well-documented datasets.
- Contribute to continuous improvement in data development processes and best practices.
Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science Computer Science Engineering or a related field.Over 3 years of experience in a data analytics data modeling or data engineering role.Technical Skills :Proven experience with :DBT (Cloud or Core)SnowflakeAdvanced SQL (including performance tuning)Git version controlUnderstanding of dimensional data modeling and ELT / ETL best practices.Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with modern data stack tools such as Airflow Fivetran or Dagster.Experience working in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry.Knowledge of data privacy and regulatory frameworks (e.g. HIPAA GDPR GxP).Exposure to data observability lineage and monitoring tools.Soft Skills
Strong analytical thinking and attention to detail.Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish is a plus).Ability to work in a global matrixed organization and collaborate across time zones.Self-starter with a proactive mindset and a passion for high-quality data.Key Skills
