The Product Management team at TransPerfect is comprised of individuals skilled in proactively managing the development process of our applications with a desire to apply their knowledge during the entire lifecycle of an application, from gathering requirements to releasing to Production.
A Senior Technical Product Manager may lead a team of two or more individuals. This position is designed to use the product management expertise and technical skills of the individual to train and / or mentor team members, assign and execute initiatives that improve automation within production teams across the company, and find creative solutions when issues arise. Serve as a manager or mentor to one or more Product Managers within the Technology Solutions team to expand reach of technical knowledge across the company
Establish and maintain best practices, processes, and standards for the Tech Solutions Product Management team
Facilitate cross-functional collaboration between product, development, design, and other key stakeholders to drive alignment and execution
Set clear goals and performance expectations for direct reports, providing ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance reviews
Report regularly to senior leadership on roadmap progress, product impact, and strategic initiatives led by your team
Drive a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Product Management team
Support the entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to release, taking an active approach during Testing / Quality Assurance cycles of new product versions
Collaborate with Technical and Implementation Project Managers and Implementation team to roll out products as required
Monitor development progress and set deadlines, and use project management tools to track developers' workload and product roadmaps
Act as a technical expert when new setups need testing, report bugs, review development tickets, and independently follow up until successful implementation is complete
Regularly evaluate product performance and conduct risk assessments
Use the metrics for success and effectiveness of new products to drive future improvements and development, in cooperation with Tech PMs or Tech Program Managers if deemed necessary
Collaborate closely with the Technical Program Managers to identify potential integration opportunities for yourself or other Product Managers to pursue
Create product specifications for new development or improvements for the products you manage, ensuring they are detailed, clear, and aligned with business goals. Create testing plans and lead User Acceptance Testing during the final stages of development
Pivot project plans when needed, according to business and user needs
During development and post product release, collect and evaluate Production feedback and provide information to the development team
Consistently provide constructive feedback to all stakeholders in the software and process development cycle
Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
Strong organization and time management skills
Deep understanding of all aspects of the software product development lifecycle
Demonstrated ability to lead and prioritize multiple complex projects simultaneously, driving efficiency and delivering consistent results under pressure
Maintains professionalism, focus, and result-orientation in all situations, especially under pressure and when shift in priorities is required
Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
Minimum 4 years of Product Management experience, working with Developers and stakeholders to define features and create a product roadmap
Advanced technical background with hands-on experience in REST APIs and PHP / Laravel
Knowledge of JIRA, Confluence, Testiny, or equivalent systems
Minimum 4 years project management experience or similar type of project lead role
